Troop 373 Uniforms

Full uniforms are required at all Troop meetings unless you are otherwise notified. The Troop's PLC has adopted a "no-tolerance" policy for uniforms. If you forget your uniform, you'll have to call home and ask your parents to bring your uniform to the meeting.

Here is a list of what makes up the full Scout uniform:

  • SHIRT – BSA long or short sleeve shirt with appropriate insignia

  • INSIGNIA – USA flag, numerals "373," Denver Area Council patch, green epaulet tabs, World Crest

  • NECKERCHIEF – Special neckerchief provided by the Troop at Cross-Over

  • SLIDE FOR NECKERCHIEF – "Pewter" Boy Scout slide

  • PANTS OR SHORTS – Scout trousers or shorts

  • BELT – Scout webbed belt and buckle

  • SOCKS – Green Scout socks

  • SASH – Optional - Scout sash to display merit badges

  • HAT – Optional - Scout visored cap

The Scout uniform is designed to be both sharp and functional. It should be worn for all Scouting activities. Uniform "checks" will be conducted periodically at Troop meetings. Activities for which uniforms are not required will be announced at Troop meetings.

The Troop encourages "recycling" of outgrown uniforms and coordinates a uniform exchange. If you are interested, ask the Scoutmaster whom to contact.

The Troop also has red t-shirts (sometimes known as a "Class-B" uniform) that can be worn on campouts and other events. Seek guidance from your Patrol Leader to find out when your t-shirt may be worn.
