Troop 373 Events Back to the listTroop 373 Campout at Cherry Creek State Park - April 2009Every spring our Troop has a campout for our new Scouts just joining the Troop. This year we camped out at Cherry Creek State Park. The older Scouts and the Troop guides/Instructors teach the newer Scouts many outdoor skills that will make them better campers and be safe in the outdoors. They worked on rank advancements during the day. The Patrols got to plan their meals, go shopping, and cook their own meals together. The adults ate separately together as the "Old Goat Patrol". The weather this year was very cold so we only camped out one night but we learned a lot about staying warm. We had a nice campfire and as is our Troop tradition Scoutmaster Chris Bouck conducted a wonderful flag retirement ceremony with help from the Scout Troop leadership team.
