Boy Scout Summer Camp at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch - Cris Dobbins, July 2008

Boy Scouts of America Denver Area Council's flagship summer camp is Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch located just south of Elbert, Colorado.  There are three summer camps at the ranch.  The Cub Scouts camp at Magness Adventure Camp and the  Boy Scouts that cook their own meals stay at Camp Dietler.  Our Troop stayed at Cris Dobbins Camp that provides dining hall meals giving our Scouts more time to work on their advancements and Merit Badges.  The week is a full week with lots of activities and traditions.  Special activities at this Summer camp include horseback riding, shotgun, rifle, cinematography small boat sailing, and even swimming in a heated pool.
