Winter Camping at the Arapahoe District Klonderee, February 2007

Troop 373 joins the exciting winter activities held at Snow Mountain Ranch, Granby, Colorado in the Annual Arapahoe District Winter Klonderee.  This year's theme is When Hawaii Freezes over.  Our Troop won first place in the Dog Sled Race and participated in other exciting events such as fire starting, snowman making contest, coconut lawn bowling, avalanche rescue, limbo contest, orienteering course, blood trail, snowshoeing, and dutch oven cooking contest.  Our SPL, Kalin P. demonstrated great leadership getting his fellow Scouts organized in the winter events.  The Troop canvas Tent got good use with the pot belly stove keeping everyone warm.  The food was amazing being cooked in the Troop collection of dutch ovens.  ASM Mr. Spahr saves his special recipes for the annual Klonderee.
