Troop 373 Scouts Conduct the Flag Ceremony at State of Colorado Capitol - House of Representatives, February 28, 2007

State Representative Spencer Swalm invited our Troop 373 to the State of Colorado Capitol to the House of Representatives to conduct the opening Flag Ceremony.  Four of our Scouts led the Pledge of Allegiance on Wednesday, February 28, 2007.  What an honor to participate in the morning session of the legislative branch of the Colorado State Government.  This helped the Scouts understand more about the importance of the Citzenship in the Community and Nation Merit Badges.  Our Troop thanks State Rep. Swalm for allowing our Scouts to participate in this ceremony.  State Rep Swalm is a former Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 373 and his son Byron was a Life Scout and is currently in the United States Navy.  State Rep Swalm is a Homestead neighbor.
