Troop 373 Philmont Trek July 2-14, 2005

12 began the Trek and all 12 finished the 100+ miles of Itinerary 22 listed as a strenuous 70 mile Trek.  Our GPS kept a very accurate mileage of our adventures.  We finished the last three days by backpacking 48 miles which some treks only go 50 miles in 10 days.  Highlights were the shotgun shell loading and shooting, black powder guns, Caving and Blacksmith entertainment, Horseback riding, Mexican Cantina, Chuckwagon Dinner, and lumberjack.  We had 3 Philmont veterans of the 12 members.
