Troop Peaceful Valley Overnight "Spring" Campout, March 2004

A few Scouts and Adults went camping to Peaceful Valley that was suppose to be a Winter Campout but really was so warm that it was renamed a Spring Campout instead.  We had Cris Dobbins almost to ourselves and stayed at Ft Laramie Lodge.  We did a 2 hour Service Project helping out Chuck in taking an inventory of the Tent platforms.  We had delicious Dutch Oven Cooking by Mr. Earle and help from the Scouts.  They made Indian Bread Pudding and Chocolate Fudge Brownies. We even had an orienteering competition thanks to Mr. Werner and Ryan Smith who set up the orienteering course.  Mrs. DesMarteau helped get this event off the ground.  Thanks to all who attended on such a short notice.
