Troop 373 Events Back to the listTroop Winter Campout at the Arapahoe District KLONDEREE, February 2004February 20, 21 and 22nd, 2004 at YMCA of the Rockies-Snow Mountain Ranch, Granby, Colorado. It got cold enough for everyone to be awarded the DAC Polar Bear Club Patch. Temperatures had to get below zero degrees Fahrenheit to qualify and it happened on the second night of camping. We tried out the new wood burning stove in the warming tent to dry our wet and cold clothing. We even participated in the traditional Klondike Sled Race pulled by our very own Troop Scouts. The adults tried Dutch oven cooking and the Scouts had delicious hearty meals too. We had a constant supply of hot water for Hot Cocoa thanks to the new wood burning stove.
