Fourteeners Mountaineering Climb to Mt. Democrat, Mt. Lincoln and Mt. Bross, September 2004

Fifteen Scouts and Adults camped overnight at Kite Lake Campground just west of Alma, Colorado.  We woke up early 5:00 am to get an early breakfast and early start up the mountain.  We had our Troop Llama mascots who climbed up to the saddle ridge with us carrying extra water and lunches.  The experienced group climbed all three Fourteeners that day and the newer Scouts all made it to the top of Mt. Democrat.  We all arrived back at the campsite within five minutes of each other.  What a great day and fantastic views from the "Top of the World."
