Annual Patrol Chili Cook-off April 27, 2004 held outside Homestead Elementary School

Troop 373 tradition is to have every member of each patrol bring some ingredient for a special chili recipe cooking contest.  The Patrol leader demonstrates his leadership skills by getting his Patrol organized and ready for the chili cook-off contest.  The judges are usually the Senior Patrol Leader and the older Scouts. Everything is made from scratch and all stoves, ingredients, pots and pans and drinks have to be brought too.  The top three Patrols with the best tasting chili are awarded prizes.  This annual event has been a springtime tradition for our Troop for many years and really demonstrates teamwork, communications, and leadership.  Thanks to all who participated in this year's event.
