Troop Adult Leadership Rock Climbing Flatirons, Boulder, CO July 2003

Rock Climbing all day adventure to the Third Flatiron in Boulder, Colorado.  Seven hours on the rock face with amazing views of Boulder and Denver.  Lead Climber was Robert Camp who taught the other Scout Adult leaders about safety and technique.  Our group volunteered to rescue an injured climber from another climbing group who broke his ankle.  Robert did a two man rappel off the mountain while we called for a ground rescue.  It saved many hours and the need for a helicopter since the injured person was at the summit when he got injured.  Robert should be commended for his quick thinking and dedication to our rock climbing program.
